Underwood Senior Citizens Club
The Underwood Senior Citizen's Club was organized in May 1974 and is currently housed in the former Underwood City Office building on Lincoln Avenue. Meals-on-Wheels serves discounted meals to the 60+ and disabled at the Senior Center or by delivery in McLean and Mercer Counties. West River Transportation does bus services for anyone. The bus service is used for the Meals-on-Wheels program as well as for local trips and day-trips to Bismarck for medical and other appointments. The center is open five days a week for meals and activities. Seniors enjoy visiting, playing cards, pool, puzzles, and piano music.

Underwood Civic Club
The Underwood Civic Club is an organization of volunteers whose purpose is "to provide the younger business and professional men and women of Underwood a medium for training in citizenship and association of commerce work, to promote the civic, industrial and educational activities of the City of Underwood, to secure and disseminate accurate information relating thereto, to oppose legislation unfavorable thereto, and to support and promote legislation favorable thereto." Primarily a service organization, the Underwood Civic Club hosts or sponsors the following annual events:
Go Loco for Local Campaign, Citywide Rummage Sales, Pancake and Sausage Supper, Mid-Summer Classic Car Show, and participation in the McLean County Fair.

Northern Expressions Arts Council
The Northern Expressions Arts Council was formed in November 2011 by residents of Underwood interested in restoring the Rose Theater. The Rose Theater is a Quonset-hut style movie theater constructed in Underwood in 1949. It is the only theater of this style in North Dakota and one of only sixteen remaining in the nation. The first phase of the restoration projection – sealing the roof- was completed in Fall 2012. The Northern Expressions Arts Council is launched its membership campaign in Fall 2012.
