Welcome From the Mayor

Welcome to the official web site for the City of Underwood, ND! We are a small, rural community (population approximately 778) with big plans for the future! Underwood is located adjacent to substantial energy resources and development, and midway between the larger population centers of Bismarck and Minot, ND. The City of Underwood offers the many benefits of small-town living while extending needed amenities to its citizens. 

We are proud of our service-oriented businesses, excellent school, and abundant recreational opportunities in and around Underwood. The spiritual needs of our citizens are served by six area churches and there are many service organizations that work for the betterment of our community.

We have excellent public utility services and ready access to both wireless and LAN-based internet. There are several prime locations available for residential, commercial and industrial development. The Underwood Area Economic Development Corporation (UAEDC) will work closely with prospective families and businesses looking to locate in the Underwood area.
